A new single from Voyag3r, entitled Slaughter Into Space, is out now! Stream it on your platform of choice. This track is the finale cue to the film Movie Theater Massacre which hits Streaming and VOD this Tuesday, February 4.

Movie Theater Massacre, written and directed by Ian Courtney, is a horror/comedy that was filmed entirely at the historic Redford Theater in Redford, MI. Filming took place during the Covid pandemic. The cast includes Jalen Wilson-Nelem, Adam DeFilippi, Caitlin Cavannaugh, LeJon Woods and Linnea Quigley.

Tagline: A group of employees are working their last week at a movie theater that is going out of business when a mysterious figure begins to murder people.

Movie Theater Massacre
Jake, Wily, Rachel, Val, & Dan are employees at a movie theater. They enjoy working somewhere where they have the opportunity to discuss their favorite subject: movies. But the building’s owner, Harold, plans to sell off the property since moviegoing is dwindling and doesn’t seem profitable anymore. Then, random people start disappearing, while simultaneously, strange, and unexplainable things begin happening. Will they live to see another movie?

Director Biography – Ian Courtney
Ian Courtney has been involved in the Detroit film community for over twenty years. He started out by working at a Blockbuster Video, then worked at a Landmark Theater for five years. He did internships at the Allied film advertising agency and the independent film school, The Detroit Film Center. He was a film critic for Real Detroit for two years. He attended film classes at Oakland Community College, the Detroit Film Center, Wayne State University and The Motion Picture Institute. He then worked on fifteen feature film productions as a crew member that ranged from $200 thousand to $120 million. His feature film debut, MOVIE THEATER MASSACRE, is currently making its way through the festival circuit.

This 18-track album is the film score to the upcoming sci-fi/comedy movie entitled Killer Kabbage, written and directed by Jude Reed and Michael A. Dotson. The album has plenty of hard rock guitar, swirling synths and Kabbage smashing drums. Film tagline: Two warriors, from the future, are tasked to go back in time to prevent the great Kabbage apocalypse from happening in order to save mankind.

Killer Kabbage (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) was produced by Steve Greene at the Battle Chamber Studio in Detroit, MI.

New music from Voyag3r (pronounced Voyager 3) is now available via all streaming platforms! The single, March of the Kabbage Heads was released on Friday, July 5 and is a preview of the upcoming new Voyag3r full length album, the score to the sci-fi comedy film, Killer Kabbage.

Film Plot Summary

John is just an average man working as a sound technician for a New York City news station, until one day his pregnant wife is brutally murdered while witnessing the kidnapping of a young woman in broad daylight. Turning to the police for help, John soon learns that the city is overrun with crime and the police are too busy to help. Dressing as a white ninja, John takes to the streets as a sword wielding vigilante hell bent on cleaning up the streets of the city he once loved by ridding it of muggers, pickpockets, rapists, and gang members. However, in John’s quest for justice, he soon finds himself the target of every criminal in the city, including a mysterious villain known only as the Plutonium Killer. Will John survive to become the hero that New York City so desperately needs?

THE BACK STORY

Originally directed by and starring martial arts actor John Liu (The Secret Rivals, Invincible Armor) in his only American production, New York Ninja was filmed entirely on 35mm in 1984, but the project was abandoned during production resulting in all original sound materials being lost over time. 35 years later, Vinegar Syndrome acquired the original unedited camera negative and painstakingly constructed and completed the film. Enlisting the voice talents of genre favorites: Don “The Dragon” Wilson (Bloodfist, Whatever It Takes), Linnea Quigley (Return of the Living Dead, Nightmare Sisters), Michael Berryman (The Hills Have Eyes, Auntie Lee’s Meat Pies), Vince Murdocco (Night Hunter, LA Wars), Matt Mitler (The Mutilator, Battle for the Lost Planet), Leon Isaac Kennedy (Lone Wolf McQuade, Penitentiary), Ginger Lynn Allen (The Devil’s Rejects, Vice Academy), Cynthia Rothrock (China O’Brien, Martial Law) and Voyag3r to compose an original score.
